Kindergarten Foundation is the first part of the Kindergarten Certificate course being an introduction to colourstrings and Solfa an instruction for teaching children up to the age of five.

Workshops (usually three weekends) develop the skills learnt on the foundation/Summer School courses and take Solfa up to intermediate level.
These two courses together with the written exercises and practical assessment are the requirements for the 'Colourstrings Associate Teacher Certificate' in either Kindergarten or strings.

Level Two A five day course which together with the written work qualifies for the 'Musicianship Level Two Certificate' for working with children in the age range 5 – 7 years.

Kindergarten Development days are refresher workshops to help teachers build on their skills and develop new repertoire.

Summer School is the annual five day teacher training course offering Colourstrings teacher training in Kindergarten, Strings, Piano and Flute. For strings it is the equivalent to the Kindergarten Foundation course for those who are studying for the Associate Certificate for strings.

For further details of these courses and/or the Colourstrings approach contact the Szilvay Foundation (colourstrings@aol.com).
