  • Any combination of the above titles can be delivered as a practical INSET at an individual school for a Consortium or Cluster of schools
  • A wider selection of the above titles can be held as a 3-day course made up of modules, at a venue in a chosen LEA or county
  • A short series of weekly lessons in one classroom of an individual school, tailor-made for each teacher. For example, Musical Terms works as a model with an individual teacher for up to 5 weeks. Each week the teacher is given a simple assignment to continue ideas throughout the week and a booklet to accompany the series. After this series of demonstration lessons the class teacher continues ideas with his/her class and then books a follow up tutorial session with Musical Terms at a time and date that is mutually suitable. This session is designed to reinforce understanding and extend further ideas.
WHO are the courses and workshops designed for?
Every course aims to increase confidence and so it is essential that each one takes its starting point from the people attending the course:
  • Class teachers who are interested but not confident in using music
  • Class teachers who have some musical knowledge but want more ideas
  • Teachers who have roles of responsibility and want more ideas
  • Teaching assistants who have an interest in using musical ideas
